3 Months In and We’re Only Getting Started!

It's been three months since I began my journey as a real estate agent, and it has been nothing short of exciting and exhilarating. I feel like I've finally found what I was always looking for - a career that combines all the skills I've honed over the years and allows me to create a business and brand that I truly own.

While my journey has been rewarding, it hasn't been without its challenges. One of the most difficult aspects has been the uncertainty of the industry. One day, everything can be going smoothly, and the next, everything falls apart. Although real estate isn't for the faint of heart, I’ve learned to take each deal and step as it comes and that we are here for a marathon not a quick sprint.

And just like that, in less than three months, we closed our first deal and a listing of our own at that! It was a challenging experience, but seeing the true gratitude from my seller for being able to get the closing done even with some major roadblocks along the way made it all worth it.

Luck? I don't think so. Over the last 10 years, I have cultivated a network and sphere of influence that is now taking care of me just as I have always taken care of it. The relationships that I have grown nationwide over the last decade are what is now allowing me to catapult into this new journey. My prior clients and past colleagues know what I bring to the table as a professional, thus instilling the trust to give me the opportunity for us to work together early on.

Working seems to be in my blood, and yes, the truth is there is always something you could be doing. Stepping fully into this world of entrepreneurship, I have had to and continue to learn that we need to take time for ourselves and our family because the work will truly never stop, but trust me, it will always still be waiting. Balance has been a balancing act 😉 but continues to be learned and improved every day.

The growth that I have been able to personally see over the last three months is just huge and excites me to see what is to come for the next three! While I have learned so much, the biggest takeaway for me has been just as Nike is famous for saying, "Just Do It." Nothing will ever be perfect, but it doesn't have to be either. By just doing it, you will learn and grow! So this is not only a note to all of you but to me too, GET OUT THERE AND GO DO IT.

Only time will tell what the next three months will bring, but big things, this I know for sure. Let's see what we can do - maybe $4MM in sales, only time will tell. But I can tell you that imposter syndrome is ready to be put up on the shelf, and I'm ready to keep pushing forward!

Consistency is key, and the only way is up!
